Bachata & Urban Kiz Sunday Social

2 classes followed by 2 hours of social dancing

5-6:15pm Bachata with Adrian & Julia.
A beyond beginner/intermediate bachata class that will focus on developing better connection with your partner, styling and learning fun new social movements and patterns to step up your bachata game on the dance floor!

6:15-7:30pm Urban Kiz with guest instructor Sam Siegert. Focus will be on building a strong foundation with basics in order to get out on the social dance floor

7:30-9:30pm 2 hours of social dancing with guest DJ, DJ Panaflex!

$35 for 2 classes plus social
$20 for 1 class plus social
$10 for the social

Enjoyed throughout the world, this unique dance has been gaining attention and popularity among dancers of all kinds. Recent years have even seen the emergence of kizomba rooms at events catering to salsa and bachata.

::: WHO IS DJ PANAFLEX? :::
Charlie Thompson (DJ Panaflex) has been delighting listeners and dancers with his Latin and Afro-Diasporic sets since 2013, playing #dancehall, #bachata, #kuduro, #dembow, and everything in-between. In 2016 he started his kizomba night series at Trio Club. The same year he partnered with Nathalia Carbajal to form the successful KiZouk Connection monthly dance party, which went on for years and was host to many nationally and internationally touring performers and instructors of Brazilian zouk.

In 2021 he assumed a part-time role as programmer and presenter on Portland's 90.7 KBOO FM radio station:

You are invite to join the Angola Community of Oregon as we celebrate the Independence Day of Angola on Saturday, November 12, 2022 starting at 6pm, Oregon time.

Dress code is formal, sharp and preferably African attire.

We will be serving Angolan and African food dishes, Angolan and African music, African clothes fashion show and much, much more. .

Tickets are $35 for adults and $5 for kids.

No tickets will be sold at the door. Please purchase your tickets ahead of the event.
